As the conflict in Ukraine continues, the question of long-term security for the nation has become a central focus for its allies. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte recently announced that he expects to see a clear framework for these Ukraine security guarantees emerge in the near future. This initiative, led primarily by European leaders, aims to provide Ukraine with a strong defense shield to deter any future aggression.
The idea behind these guarantees is to ensure that once the fighting stops, whether through a ceasefire or a permanent peace agreement, Ukraine is not left vulnerable.
