This understanding became the bedrock of his career, a secret ingredient that allowed him to not only create beautiful clothes but also to build an empire. He eventually met Sergio Galeotti, who became his business and personal partner, and convinced him to go out on his own. With just $10,000 from selling their car, the two of them set out to change the fashion world forever.
